Women Weaving Their Story (Mujeres Tejiendo su Historia) is a project led by Huellas & Futuro that aims to promote the economic empowerment and personal development of women in vulnerable situations by providing opportunities for training, skills development, and income generation.

The initiative seeks to enable women to strengthen their economic autonomy, discover their potential, and acquire the tools they need to create new opportunities for themselves and their families.

Through a vocational training programme in machine knitting, participants learn techniques for producing a variety of textile products that can serve as a source of income. This training is complemented by workshops on entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal development, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to manage their productive activities, identify market opportunities, and build the confidence to establish and develop their own businesses.

A key component of the project is the establishment and strengthening of an association of women entrepreneurs, enabling participants to work collaboratively, exchange knowledge, support one another, and create joint business and marketing opportunities.

Beyond technical training, Women Weaving Their Story seeks to foster solidarity, leadership, and economic independence, recognising women as key agents of change and protagonists in the development of their families and communities.
